Amanohashidate (“Bridge to Heaven”) is considered one of the three best sights in Japan. The bridge is supposed to be viewed upside between your legs, which makes you look pretty ridiculous, and also just makes everything look upside down.

This picture was taken at the line that separates the North Korean part of the DMZ from the South Korean part. The cement piece between the buildings is the actual boundary.

I took this picture the first time I went to Hiroshima. It was rainy a bit, and I didn’t have a tripod, so getting this picture wasn’t exactly easy, but I really liked how it turned out.

This picture was taken in the Forbidden City, in Beijing. I originally didn’t like it that much, but after looking at it a couple more times it started to grow on me.

I took this picture at one of the Fall Festivals, and just saw it again recently. It pretty much epitomizes the reaction I get from kids here.

I was walking around town when I heard “Doryuu sensei!”. One of my elementary school students was playing with his friends across the street, and they all ran over to have their picture taken.

Irrigation ditches like this run all through my town to supply the rice fields. They all have tiny bridges every 20 or so feet.

Marla and I went to the Tottori Sand Dunes, and she decided she wanted to roll down one of them. This is her attempt to limit how much sand she picked up.

This picture isn’t fake. At Takeno Beach there was a huge flock of hawks, rather than seagulls.

This was in the Dirt Market in Beijing. Apparently it’s called that because its dirt cheap…not because its dirty.
